Louisiana Studies Cajun Ignite Talks

The Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Economic Development (OVPRIED) is excited to announce the upcoming Communities of Interest focusing on Louisiana Studies.  By bringing together cross-disciplinary scholars with common interests, we will be able to establish new research activities and incite funded research.

At the event, there will be an opportunity for you hear from a group of approximately 15 researchers who will present their research in a unique presentation format called Ignite presentations, otherwise known as Pecha Kucha (chit-chat).  These five minute presentations will allow for a brief look at various research in the field of Louisiana Studies. Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity for you to visit with other like-minded researchers and scholars interested in collaborations involving issues centered in Louisiana research.

The OVPRIED will assist in providing follow-up groups and resources to you and other participants of the event. Our office is dedicated to assisting you in your research activities and we look forward to helping you develop collaborations and inspirations in the area of Louisiana Studies.
